Like the Alerion Express 20 for which it is frequently mistaken, the Harbor 20 is the modern expression of a traditional Herreschoff design. It is equally at home with six adults picnic sailing (class rules require the cockpit cushions to be in place at all times and no hiking allowed); or high performance racing with a crew of 2 or 3. This boat is a frequent club race winner (despite its scary 210 PHRF rating).
Delivered new (personally by Tom and Jane Schock) to San Francisco in 2005, Sail #226 is regrettably now for sale. Includes: customized Pacific trailer with delivery mileage only; torsion bar suspension, virtually rust-free; wheels always covered for UV protection. Full boat cover (in addition to cockpit cover). Bolt-on Splashboard (by Schock). “Retractable” spinnaker pole (by Schock) with two spinnakers. Ready to race – excellent condition throughout. Always dry-sailed; never modified from original; fully equipped as from factory; Elliott/Pattison main and Ullman jib still very competitive. Full build documentation and correspondence. Lightly but very successfully raced in PHRF on San Francisco Bay (no stranger to the podium).
