Note to all Fleet 1 competitors planning on participating in the 2017 SCYA Midwinter Regatta this weekend:

For this regatta only, the Fleet 1 Board of Directors have altered the APPENDIX A: Rules for Maintaining Fleet Race Divisions as it applies to promotion from C Division to B Division.  The change is as follows:

If at least ten (10) boats start in the C Division, then both the 1st and 2nd place winners of the regatta in C Division will automatically be promoted to the B Division. If less than 10 boats start in the C Division, the Rule will not change as currently written.

The purpose of this temporary rule change is to try to balance the number of qualified boats in the A, B and C Divisions. Currently there is a significant un-balance.
